I’ve loved this industry for as long as I can remember.
The craftsmanship. The storytelling. The way a garment can shift how you stand, how you move, how you feel in your own skin.
Fashion can be powerfully transformative.
But also—if we’re honest—it’s exhausting, some seasons are worse than others.
And while I don’t believe fashion is “evil” or beyond repair, I do think it’s struggling because it’s not yet organized or resourced in a way that can truly support the pace, pressure, and brilliance of the designers driving it forward.
I see too many creatives burning out behind closed doors.
Too many designers trying to keep up with a pace that kills inspiration.
Too many visionaries contorting themselves to fit outdated molds—hoping to be seen, funded, and taken seriously.
And still—there’s so much good here.
So much potential. So many people who care deeply about their craft and about each other.
What I want is a stronger ecosystem, one that reflects the values we keep talking about: care, sustainability, artistry, equity.
Not just buzzwords on panels, but lived values in how we work, create, and support one another.
So no, I’m not giving up on this industry.
I’m not here to tear it down.
I’m here to speak the truth because I love it.
And I believe the path forward isn’t about squeezing ourselves into outdated frameworks.
It’s about building systems that actually support how designers and visionaries work, think, and lead.
If this resonates—share it.
Tell me what you’re seeing.
And if you’re a designer or visionary trying to navigate this pace without the team or resources you need— I’ve created something to help.
