How I’ve Bridged the Gap Between Fashion and Tech — and Why I’m Hosting an Open Discussion for Designers
Over the past few months, I’ve been exploring how technology can make fashion production simpler, faster, and more aligned — even if you don’t consider yourself “tech-savvy”, I personally do not consider myself to be a “tech person” but I’ve learned what tools work best for me.
As an operations manager, I’ve spent years explaining the importance of details that often get lost in translation — why the placement of a seam matters, or why a tech pack needs to be formatted a specific way. The truth is, when you rely on too many middle layers, things start to slip. You waste time, money, and creative energy correcting miscommunications that could have been avoided with clearer systems.

Over the past few years, one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that every designer and visionary has their own unique way of communicating their ideas. My role — and honestly, my favorite part of this work — has always been translating those ideas into something tangible with as little resistance as possible.
If you’ve ever felt misunderstood by an operations manager or a factory, or like your creative direction wasn’t fully heard, you’re not alone — and that’s exactly why this conversation matters. The industry is evolving quickly, and the best way to keep up is to stay ahead together — by sharing knowledge, asking questions, and building systems that truly support the creative process.
Learning to “vibe code”, or build simple applications that mirror my real-world workflows, has allowed me to cut out that middle layer. I can now create systems that actually understand the fashion process. It’s helped me build structure not just for myself, but for my clients and the factories I collaborate with.
And that’s what inspired me to host an event two Saturdays from now — an open discussion for fashion designers to come together and ask the production and operations questions they rarely get the chance to ask.

Maybe you’ve wondered:
- What does my factory actually need from me to get my samples right the first time?
- How can I organize my tech packs or line sheets in a way that makes sense for future growth?
- How do I start integrating tech tools without losing my creative flow?
This conversation is for you. It’s casual, free, and meant to bridge the gap between creative vision and operational clarity.
